Chip is a two year old smallish "Merla-quin" Dane weighing in at only about 95 lbs, but he has all of the features of a great looking boy. He came to the rescue skinny and very scared. When he first came to our home, he hid in whatever dark corner he could find, but with lots of love and encouragement from his other 3 pack members, he came out of his shell very quickly. He is now very happy and friendly, albeit a little hesitant around new people for the first few minutes when he meets them. His new aim in life is to please his fellow humans. He's house and crate trained. He's very good on a leash and loves to go on walks. He plays well with his other pack members and shows no food or toy aggression what-so-ever. As a matter of fact, we don't think he has a mean bone in his body. He loves kids and shows only a passing curiosity in cats. Chip will definitely make a great addition to any family by himself or with other dogs and/or cats in the home. Please adopt this gentle boy and give him the happy home he deserves.
