Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.... In memory of:

Alley came to us 4 1/2 years ago. She was found roaming the streets in Maryland. She was skinny, filthy and very timid. Alley was our first foster failure as we were only supposed to foster her and lo and behold, we couldn't imagine life without her so we adopted. Alley could run faster than any Dane I have ever seen and though she had some nerve damage that caused her legs to shake when standing still, she loved running rings around the backyard. She often looked like she was walking or running in high heels. She was a very feminine girl and thus we started to call her Miss Alley. Alley was our dinner bell, as she was the one that would let us know that it was time to eat dinner. As soon as it was 5:00 she knew it was time for dinner and would "talk" until she was fed. Miss Alley had a special affection for Troy. She will be missed by both of us, as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 12, 2005

Leahla Settlemire 2004 (your forever home) to 2005 (Rainbow Bridge) Effortlessly loved us back. A wonderful addition to our family. Heartache both past and present. Lived for the love of her family. At least had one good year with her forever family who loved her very much. Leahla you will forever be in our hearts but will be sadly missed here on earth. Now you can be in peace without the horrendous scars from your past. You rest in peace my Leahlalu, momma's girl.. Love, Your momma and the rest of your forever family.

This little guy was born November 18th, 2005 and passed away the next evening. He was born without a placenta around him and was covered in green slime. We suctioned him out and got his heart beating strong, but unfortunately he was not able to maintain his body heat or nurse properly. He was tube fed and kept extra warm, but unfortunately his little body was just too frail. Rest in peace Tiny Tim, we love you! ~Your family at GDROC
