| Nofolk Grand Illumination Parade "The Greatest Danes On Earth" |
| On Saturday, November 19, 2005 GDROC participated in the highly anticipated 21st annual Norfolk Grand Illumination Parade. To the spectators who gather to watch the parade, this is the kickoff of the holiday season as the downtown Norfolk and Portsmouth skylines are illuminated. Over 100,000 spectators attended the parade this year. It was such an excellent night and we were privilidged to have been chosen as one of the units in this years parade. The crowds were thrilled to see our swarm of volunteers and Danes in the parade and it was an excellent opportunity for exposure and advertisement. This years parade theme was a circus, officially titled "Under The Big Top" HUGE thank yous to: Lynette and Paul Valudicus for catering such a fabulous meal for us before we lined up for the parade. Linda Ciely who made and donated all 16 of the horse costumes. Linda Boyd who made and donated all 14 of the clown costumes. Doggie Stylin' Pet Salon for sponsoring us. |
