Petsmart September 18th
| We had our meet and greet today at Petsmart from 12-4 and we ROCKED at raising funds for Nina and her mastectomy tomorrow. She was in attendance all day and was a PERFECT girl. She broke the hearts of many as they saw her and her tumors and just how sweet she was. We had excellent attendance and really had an outstanding meet and greet with all of our adoptable orphans present at various points in the day. Thanks to everyone who came to help raise money for Nina's surgery: Linda Boyd and the twins who helped considerably by setting up and begging for donations. Dani Dorresteyn (sorry if I spelled your last name wrong, please correct me) who also helped set up and brought her boy Buddy, who is a certified therapy dog and did a great job teaching the kids how nice big dogs can be Tim and Melissa Startley and their children who were great help in holding Danes and monitoring the canine shoplifter! LOL Deb and Chris Widman (and daughter) and their adopted boy Panther who did great for his first meet and greet! Linda Ciely and her trio, Bella, Blitz, and Brooklyn who were just so excited today! Sharon and Jim Jerrard who brought their sweet 9 month old harl boy, Nitro for some socialization Troy Eckhardt who stayed with Mr. Oz for a bit Judge J P Fulton and his wife Darnelle, who brought their foster boy Louie, who is coming along very nicely Jen and Bob Cordosi who brought our special girl Nina, and her foster brother Thor who were great ambassadors the entire time Bill and Patty Bills and daughter, Brandy, who helped answer the questions of people interested in GDROC Wendy and Rex Settlemire and daughter, who brought Tiki out for some socialization If I forgot anyone please forgive me! Pictures are posted to the website under past events. Also, we had our monthly meeting tonight and yet another, RECORD attendance, there were so many new faces, I was so pleased to see everyone! We are growing by leaps and bounds and it is great to know how much good we all are doing as a group for the Danes! Our meeting was very successful. Thanks to Kathy and Troy Eckhardt for supplying dinner for us at the meeting! Pictures from the meeting are posted on the website. After all of the success of our fundraising efforts for Nina and the meeting this weekend, we didn't think things could get any better. But, at the conclusion of the meeting tonight, we were handed a check for $1,000 as a donation for Nina's surgery tomorrow and Louie's neuter on Thursday. Thanks so much to Linda and John Ciely who were so VERY generous in their donation this evening. We (Danes included) just cannot thank you enough! Our total donations for today were: $1,340 Our total donations for this weekend were: $1,642 WOW! All of the efforts of our volunteers this weekend were just outstanding! We did a fantastic job!
