Update:  October 20, 2008

It has been just over 3 weeks since we rescued the 3 female Danes from Red Oak.
They are each making remarkable progress.  Despite the conditions and isolation they had previously
lived in, they are very friendly and adapting well.  They are discovering what it's like to be taken care of,
have a warm dry place to sleep, and enough food to eat.

Willow   (formerly Skew Roo)

Willow and her foster brother, Vader.

The first night at her new foster
home, Willow was happy just to be
clean and dry.  She was not familiar
with a dog bed and was actually a
little afraid of it.  Instead, she chose
the hardwood floor that night.  She
has since learned how cozy a dog
bed can be!
Willow will be ready for adoption soon.  She still needs to be spayed and we are
waiting until she has gained enough weight for that procedure.  Once she is
spayed, she will be looking for a new family!
