October 2008: Charlotte is making progress in her new foster home. She is very sweet. She is working through some slight issues when meeting new dogs. She does a very slight growl at them and then she ignores them. She is learning leash manners. Charlotte will whack you with her paw when she wants attention so her foster family is working on teaching her to break that habit. She is also being crate trained. She's okay with the crate, but doesn't love it.
Other than that...she's started to eat regularly now. She is getting mixed in wet with the dry food...and will slowly wean back onto the wet food as soon as we know whether she's having pups or not. Right now we just want to make sure she's taking in enough to help fill her back out to a healthy weight.
She's finished with all her medications, and her skin/hair is growing back nicely. Again, she is as sweet as can be...and she LOVES people. She likes the next door neighbors kids too. She's generous with kisses.
She comes when you call her...inside and outside. She allows us to clean her ears and clip her nails and does not appear to be food aggressive....allows hands in her bowl and will wait her turn to take a treat in the pack.
March 2009: Charlotte has made progress with her social skills, but still needs a home! Please click here to see her current information.
