ZERO
Zero and his room mate Sprocket came to rescue because the original owner left them with her
mother who lives alone and just couldn't properly care for them.
He is 3 years old, neutered and just plain cute. Look at that face! He is very hesitant when meeting
new folks & dogs, but if not pressured adapts quietly. Zero likes everyone, but prefers women. He is
very animated and we think, actually tries to talk. He often responds by opening & closing his mouth
(like his own Morse code) when nervous, unsure or just being plain silly. He is potty & crate trained.
He is very observant & sensitive to his surroundings. Zero likes his blanket & has never tried to sit
on couch or our bed. He has been cautious of our cats & seems to follow the tone of his foster family
of 3 Danes/2 Cats on the house rules.  Zero enjoys long walks, dog cookies, kisses, belly rubs & a good
book. For his age, he is pretty mellow & the most excited he gets is when he greets us when we get
home.
Wow! We've received an overwhelming number of positive responses for Zero since we posted his video on
Youtube. Thank you so much, but a large number of responses have been from far away from our native Virginia
Beach home. So although Zero's video depicts  the wonderful positive side of him, this is mainly because if we
showed all aspects of this complicated boy, the video would rival most feature length films. Not to say that
Zero has problems, it's just that he's different and needs to be understood fully by his future adopting family
before they take him to his forever home. This is because Zero started out life misunderstood  which left him
neglected and forgotten. He has come such a long way from the scared dirty flea ridden dog that he was that I
think the previous owner would hardly recognize him. So that being said, I know that he will make a family very
happy, but this family has to be willing to understand him and work with him and his peculiarities. When and if
they do, they will be greatly rewarded with a loving caring, and really darn cute boy. I know we have and will
definitely be saddened when he leaves our home. So if your up for the challenge and want to give Zero the
forever home he deserves, please
contact us and we will do our best to make his transition into your home a
smooth and happy one.
